FINDING OBJECTS AT THE JOHN HAY LIBRARY

Library catalogs don't play well with three dimensional objects.  As a result, despite the fact that the Hay Library holds a wide variety of objects that you might want to work with, you will have a hard time using JOSIAH to find them.

Your best resource for finding the objects hiding in our holdings is to consult the Hay Library staff.  We don't bite -- I promise!  Below is a list of staff and their respective subject areas:

Staff member and Areas of expertise

Jennifer Betts, University Archivist    History of Brown University

Christopher Geissler, Director           Literature and popular culture

Peter Harrington, Curator                  ASKB Military Collection

Holly Snyder, Curator                        American history, History of Science

If you can't find one of us, feel free to consult  Ann Morgan Dodge, our Reader Services Coordinator.  Ann has worked at the Hay for nearly 30 years, and knows where a LOT of objects are buried.
