BruKnow: The Brown Library Catalog

If you are looking for a specific title and find yourself getting lots of results for book reviews and other extraneous hits, the best thing to do is to change your type of search from the default Everything to Library Catalog.

If the search returns no hits, we probably don't have the book in our collection. Try doing the search again, this time searching Everything. Once again, the book will not appear, but this time, you'll see an  Expand My Results button. Click on this.

There's a good chance a book record will now appear (however, this will not happen for every title). Its status will be No Online Access or Check for Available Services..

Click on the title to open the record and you'll see a link to request the book through Interlibrary Loan.
