  • Vega-Altair - another data vis library for Python built on Vega-Lite grammar (lesser coding knowledge needed) for interactive graphics and statistical visualization
  • Folium - Python library for visualizing GIS data. It is a wrapper for Leaflet.js (https://github.com/python-visualization/folium)
  • Bokeh - yet another Python library for creating highly interactive graphs and visualization using HTML and javascript.

Mapping

ArcGIS by ESRI - A suit of tools for making interactive web maps from discovery, access, visualization, to dissemination of geospatial information. The data analysis function gives a quick and easy process for GIS/location calculations and mapping. Brown faculty, students, and staff will have access to ArcGIS Oneline via their Brown credentials.

  • ArcGIS Pro is the desktop versions of ArcGIS Online.
  • ArcGIS StoryMaps let you combine authoritative maps with narrative text, images, and multimedia content for effective storytelling.
