Hi there! My name is Jason Cerrato (he/his), and I am a STEM Instructional Librarian. As a generalist, I support students and researchers across a variety of STEM disciplines, while concurrently serving as the library liaison to the Chemistry Department and School of Engineering. Some of my core activities within the library include procuring resources for faculty members and courses, as well as guiding students through the research process, developing search strategies, & managing research resources and assets. Some of my interests related to STEM discourses include science communication, citizen science, the production of scientific knowledge, and critical approaches to scientific inquiry.

I hold an MLIS from the Simmons University School of Library Science, where I am also currently a PhD student. Before becoming a librarian, I received my MA from the New School for Social Research (the New School), with interests related to the intersections of visual culture, critical theory, & epistemology. In addition, I was an instructor of Political Science, Sociology, and Macroeconomics from 2010-2023 at the City University of New York (CUNY), working predominantly at Bronx Community College and Hunter College, respectively.
