You do not need to memorize NLM Style. The examples above are meant to provide a basic guide for properly citing your evidence. Citation management software can help you generate properly formatted citations in your documents.
A good tool to quickly generate citations without needing to download and install software is Zoterobib. Simply copy & paste the URL of your article, book or other reference, select NLM style from the drop-down, and Zoterobib will compile a citation for you.
The Brown University Library supports Zotero and EndNote citation management software, but there are other tools available. See this comparison table [external link to Wikipedia] for help deciding which tool is right for you.
Citation and AttributionCitation and attribution are the foundation of scholarly conversation.
ZoteroManage references with Zotero.
EndNoteManage references with EndNote.
