About this guide

This guide provides various scholarly resources for the study of Islam and select topics related to Muslim culture, practice and belief. The focus here is to provide students and researchers with some of the main tools available through the library and across the web. The iternet is repleate with tens of thousands of sites that offer vast amounts of information, particularly for those who are members of the faith community of the Islamic tradition, however, effort here has been to foucs on resources that have significant scholarly and academic approaches. This guide has not included topical bibliographies, however, you will find links to those sites that have complied some of the very best. Where Brown does not have a specific resource we will do our best to obtain it either through one of our reciprocal agreements or purchase.
