To explore what research has been done on your topic, start with a database search. Here are a few good ones to begin with:
Google Scholar casts a pretty wide net across articles within databases, book citations, research published in academic repositories, and other scholarly information providers, While it isn't a great place to start researching a topic, it is an excellent tool for locating articles for which you have a citation. It is also a useful tool to find out who has cited an article you like.
