Brown Undergraduate Journal of Middle East Studies
The Brown Undergraduate Journal of Middle East Studies (BUJMES) (ISSN: 2641-6239) is an undergraduate-operated interdisciplinary journal featuring academic and creative work on the Middle East/ South West Asia and North Africa from undergraduate and graduate students regardless of institutional affiliation. At its core, BUJMES seeks to provide a forum that uplifts often overlooked content, discourses, and voices in order to build knowledge that nuances hegemonic and narrow understandings of the expansive region and its diverse peoples.
Minassian Collection of Quranic Manuscripts
This database catalogues the holdings of over 200 Qur’anic manuscript folios dating from the 9th to the 16th centuries housed within the special collections of the Brown University libraries.
Minassian Collection of Persian, Moghul and Indian Miniature Paintings
This project features Miniature paintings from the estate of Mrs. Adrienne Minassian. The paintings often include text from Persian and Indian tales. Many of the illustrations within the Minassian Collection are depictions of stories from the classical Persian text, Shahnama of Ferdowsi.
ASKB Military Collection
Has numerous images with ME content, particularly related to the colonial eras and Ottoman periods.
