The Arab League formed in Cairo on 22 March 1945. It presently has 22 members. Please note that the website is in Arabic (the English page is under construction).
The goals of The Oriental Institute have remained essentially unchanged: to document and study the languages, history and cultures of the ancient Near East.
Non-political association that fosters the study of the Middle East, promotes scholarship and teaching, and encourages public understanding of the region and its peoples.
