There are five statuses defined for the location of materials while in the Acquisitions Technical Services workflow
| Code | Description |
|---|---|
| Cataloging |
for material received by acquisitions, located in room 104 and is waiting for cataloging. There can be various locations in room 104 for this material. Look at the format of the material and special instructions to determine where the material is located. (Rush>on rush shelf, music cd>on shelf near music cataloger, etc.) |
| Hay Cataloging | for material received in acquisitions going directly to the Hay for cataloging |
| In Level C | for material in the cataloging backlog (special collections librarians have a backlog on level c, please use the status of special collections librarian for this material) |
| Physical Processing | material leaving Technical Services destined for physical processing (the Bindery) |
| Special Collections Librarian | special collections material to be cataloged by a librarian. Special collections librarians have a backlog on level c, please use the status of special collections librarian for this material) |
Select ‘Confirm’ when asked if you are sure you wish to do this.
A new search window will pop up. Adjust your search conditions as needed to locate the target bib record where the order record should be relinked to (using MMS ID will be easier). When you have found the correct bib, click on it to select it.
If done right, you will see the following screen with a message confirming the order record has been successfully relinked to the desired bib record.
The order record should now be on the selected bib. Use your judgement and decide if the original bib should be deleted or kept.
